Natalie Portman’s directorial debut “A Tale of Love and Darkness” is among the films that will screen at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Cannes organizers announced on Thursday morning at a press conference in Paris. A Tale of Love and Darkness is based on the novel by Israeli author Amos Oz, which recounts the journalist’s childhood in 1940s Jerusalem during the early years after the establishment of the Israeli state.
Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company have set February 20, 2015 as the U.S. release date for Natalie’s indie Western “Jane Got a Gun,” according to Variety. It’s the first title to land on the date. “Jane” had originally been dated for Aug. 29, but was pulled from that date two weeks ago.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Relativity is pushing back the release of Natalie’s Western ‘Jane Got a Gun’ from its original release date of August 29. A new release date has not yet been announced.
